The size is immaterial. The resolution is what determines how much information the monitor can display.
And they each operate only in text mode with 32 columns.
unfortunately, that only gives him about half the viewing area of an 18 inch, since its measured from corner to corner diagonally. Stereo sound and stereo vision, if he sets it up right he might start thinking he has 3-d (when half asleep)
