Sorry, I’m not hearing the British accent. If anything, I hear Rodney Dangerfield (or would that be Danderfield?).

My mom never vacuumed either. She would just say “What do you think shovels were invented for?”.

I don’t hear British or Dangerfield, I hear Charles Emerson Winchester III.

In the early days of the strip Mr. D. Appeared a bunch of times, and I never could decide if the adults could hear him or not. I think the animal lady could, but maybe not the other adults.
