Congress killed the Jobs bill, obstructs everything else and then blames the President.

how much money is put into government made jobs to bring the employment number down. They need to add these numbers back into the unemployment.

What a lie. People who are in the know and not ignorant know that the only reason why unemployment is high is republican obstructionism aided by business like those owned by the Koch brothers that refuse to hire so long as an African American is president. But the people k ow better…

And why is there a problem with the economy? The GOP refused to cooperate with the Democrats. Instead of representing the American people, the GOP’s only job was to make sure Obam a did not get reelected.

Even before Obama was inaugurated, McConnell declared that the priority for Republicans was to make sure Obama was a one term president.`Tanking the economy was a big part of the Republicans’ strategy.

Oh really? Find me the exact quote where Obama PROMISED unemployment won’t go above 8%***A lie repeated a thousand times, is still a lie. First, the quote was not said by Obama, but rather, one of his economic advisers. Second, it was claimed before Obama was even inagurated, based on current economic figures. This was before the recession bottemed out. So to call it a “promise” is rather foolish.

“retpost”: It must be a strange world you live in. If you really believe that one of my idiot Senators actually wrote O’Buma-Kare, you’ve got more than just a few screws missing.O’Buma’s Administration lackeys wrote that Bill, and guess which party voted it into law, or can’t you count the number of Republican votes O’Buma-Kare didn’t receive?During the first two years of his administration, both Houses of Congress were controlled by the Dem’s.If the Republicans wanted to pass a fart, they would have had to get permission from Princess Pelosi and or Prince Harry, or were you still taking your daily stupid pill?

How many years has the power been out in your neighborhood?

If Republicans really want progress, why don’t THEY get their “industry” friends to RECALL all the jobs they’ve sent overseas since 1980?? Fords from Mexico, Chryslers from Canada, electronics and ’trade goods" 90%+ from China, steel mills closed, aluminum, minerals imported instead of exported, refined petroleum exported while Americans pay more-FOR OUR OWN OIL!

The jobs situation is marginally “better” but that speed bump was actually built by “Reaganomics”, and greed, so get over it, and let’s see Boehner, Cantor, and their supporters get off THEIR duffs, and DO SOMETHING!

Oh wow, an oppinion piece from the chairman of the RNC. Clearly it must be right, I mean, its not like he has a stake in the election, or anything. While I applaud you for not claming that Obama himself made the prediction, your oppinion piece misses a few bits. First, his claim the stimulus isn’t working. We’ve had almost 30 straight months of job creation. Over 4 million private sector jobs created, somthing the chairman neglects to mention. Second, they way he wrote his piece, you’d think the dems slaped it together with no thought whatsoever. In reality, and I believe I mentioned this before, the estimates were based on then current economic figures. The “promise” even mentions “It should be understood that all of the estimates presented in this memo are subject to significant margins of error”. Dosn’t really sound like a promise.http://www.politifact.com/ohio/statements/2012/may/17/bob-latta/bob-latta-says-obama-promised-stimulus-plan-would-/

Right, you’re an idiot and you’re spouting lies. Obama has nothing to do with secret service procurement, and Romney has exactly the same bus.

“The truth is, we and everyone else misread the economy,” Vice-President Joe Biden told ABC in July 2009.http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2009/07/biden-we-misread-the-economy/Knowing all this, why do the CONservatives here, and everywhere else, continue to say OBAMA PROMISED?I’m waiting…

Your talk about job loss is laughable. The reason I didn’t bring up private sector job loss is because those losses came under bush. You can not blame Obama for the MILLIONS of jobs lost in januaray or febuary ‘09 when the economy was in free fall, bushs policys were still in effect, and Obamas economic advisers were still trying to come up with a game plan. The only thing funnier is that you think Obama should come out and personaly refute it, even though Obama was never the one who came out and promised the unemployment would stay below 8%. The fact that Biden came out and refuted it is amazing enough. I mean where are the republicans refuting their “tax cuts create jobs” theory. And the fact is “projection does not equal promise”. Projection equals projection. It was an estimate based on the current data, which I’ve told you repeatedly, was when the econnomy was still falling. That dosn’t equal a promise. And just because you don’t agree with that, dosn’t mean politifact has a left wing bias (you’re starting to remind me of the Stephen Colbert quote "reality has a well known liberal bias). If politifact is so slanted, explain this: http://www.politifact.com/personalities/barack-obama/statements/byruling/false/Also, still waiting for you to tell me why CONservatives claim Obama personaly promised unemployment would not go above 8%.

“…he has cut hundreds of thousands of government jobs.” That a blip compared to 14 MILLION looking for a good job. We need to make about 500 people in Washington unemployed.

@Heavy“…You can not blame Obama for the MILLIONS of jobs lost in januaray or febuary ‘09 when the economy was in free fall, bushs policys were still in effect…” AGREED.The policies of Bush and Dodd and Frank and the law signed by Clinton enabled the Mortgage industry to defraud everyone. There are a lot things that crashed after YEARS in the making.

I’m saying there is a reason Obama HAS economic advisers. Just like he has foreign policy advisers and insert anything here advisers. He trusts these people to make sugestions based on data avalible. I never said Obama dosn’t know whats in the reports, and honestly, I have no idea where you got that idea. But I get the feeling you aren’t reading my posts. So I will type this again, the ESTIMATE (Not a promise) was based on THEN ECONOMIC FIGURES. What about that are you not able to understand? If the Obama team had a crystal ball, and could know WHEN the economy would hit rock bottom, and WHAT it would look like, the stimulus would have looked different. But they didn’t, so the stimulus was what it was. Now if you want to talk ethics, how about you show some and tell me why CONservatives won’t refute THEIR economic plans (tax cuts for job creators who don’t create jobs) or why they continue to claim Obama personaly promised unemployment won’t go above 8% even though I present you all evidence to the contrary.

Why are people arguing here? The private sector is doing fine! Meaning any libs who talk about “obstructionism” are calling their president a liar or a fool.

“Obama used the information as a promise, do this… and this will happen”OH…You mean like how every CONservative in the US says “cut taxes, and jobs will be created”. Taxes are lower then they have been in decades, yet unemployment is still high. So where are the Cons to refute that? I showed you a quote of Biden saying he misunderstood the economy, wheres the bush or cheney quote saying the tax cuts failed?Again not a promise. You really arent getting that, are you. Show me a quote where Obama used the words “I PROMISE”.

“Mitt Romeny never said anything about Barack Obama and gays adopting children to my knowledge.”EXACTLY. I posted that as proof that politifact may well be the least biased site I can think of. I mean, if they were as liberal as the CONs on this site claim, why would they rank anything Obama says as false? And yet here you are trying to spin that like you have been right all along. This is what you said:“Politicalfact.com well that is a step up from the dailyshow. politicalfact check is owned and operated by the St. Petersburg times and is a far left failing company.”Every liberal and CONservative has their own list of true and false ratings. They have no agenda other then to hold people accountable. I honestly don’t think you know what you’re talking about most of the time, but it hasn’t changed my opinion of you. It couldn’t go any lower.
