Ted Rall for July 09, 2012
Transcript:
The crisis over America's suspected nuclear weapons program escalates. (Man: We can't trust these Christian fanatics!) The U.S. claims it's program is peaceful. (Barack Obama: To heat greenhouses, where we grow pretty flowers. For all the children of the world.) But Iran says it has intelligence. Evidence to the contrary. Meanwhile, trade sanctions are causing American exports to pile up at the nation's ports.

What do the white boxes on the right of the last panel say?Anyone who thinks Iran is an existential threat to the US, or that they would even use their non-existent nukes first is delusional.

I like to juxtapose the situation to see how we would feel if we were in their shoes. But I seriously doubt Iran is trying to protest our WWII actions. If anything, they are using those to justify what they do now.
If you want to truly understand what went on in 1945, read American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin. We built the bomb against the Soviets, not Germany, and we used it on Japan partly to keep Russia out of the eastern theater, and partly to demonstrate it to them.

But if we do send the Kutcher films it could be considered an act of cruelty and make the situation worse.

Te simply states the simple truth. Small “local” generation of power through smaller reactors makes sense, as part of an overall actual “plan”. America doesn’t believe in planning for anything. The true story of our “invasion” of Grenada, is a small example. So, why do we plan to bomb Iran in 2013 or 2014??

Well put, too well for some.

^Shock and Awe wiped out about the same number of Iraqi civilians, but “numbers don’t count”. (Oh, right, Iraqis all killed each other!)
