I, too, deciphered Pearls Before Swine as the only-partially-obscured title. And the cynical reader’s description could be considered apt, I suppose. But some read it out of a love for low humor and gentle jabs at society’s ways, as well as out of an almost forsaken longing for the simple ways of Pig’s worldview. And we laugh at the doggedly dim crocs.

Pearls Before Swine has some great puns. If Teresa is poking fun at PBS, I’d guess it’s with affection.

Most of my work gets read out of pity—a professor once pointed out that if you took all the theses and published papers where the results section should have been only about seven words—viz., “But I was wrong. It didn’t work”—you’d save billions of trees.

Re: the Blog and the Tokyo picture. Tokyo train stations can still be that crowded. I miss them. Okinawa could really use a train system. I blame the Americans who ran it after WWII. Although, Okinawans don’t consider themselves Japanese, so it makes some kind of sense they wouldn’t necessarily have trains.

OK this is an awesome blank Teresa did and I’m going to have some fun with it. I hope some of you others do too.

It’s really easy to edit in IMGUR. You don]t have to buy any software, just edit in IMGUR and then click save and then grab the HREF so you can post it back in here.

Note: of course Teresa didn’t suggest this but she hasn’t sent Vlad to hurt me so I think it’s OK.

I was married once a long time ago to a women who must have read that pamphet. She believed in abstainence before and after marriage. By year three it was down to once a month as she lie there motionless. Her mantra was “do with me as you wish”. So, we got divorced. I was charrged with extreme mental cruelty. HA!OTOH, an interesting juxtaposition of posts with ANITA and the troll.

OK lunch is over and I’m done. Msg me if you can’t figure how to work IMGUR to do that. If I get banned, I probably deserved it but I’m coming back as a bedbug to ruin your summers.

I bet that most writing doesn’t benefit anyone but the writer.I enjoy the comments about as much as the comics, and I’ve always loved comic strips. There, I said it.

I only read regularly the ones I like. And I DO like Pearls.Sophomoric humor, I are that. Hit yourself with a wet mop, you’ll have my attention for your punch line…other people may be too complex for simple humor…other people have complexes, I have simplexes.

As a lover of Latin American Cuisine, I must point out that the Taco is really a Tostada, and a Gringo-fied version to boot.Vlad’s cousin Guillermo, ( third cousin-twice removed ) , will back me up on this since we are drinking buddies. No Yo Quiero Taco Bell!

I just thought Teresa was taking a shot at Pastis out of jealousy. I didn’t know it was a rib and I didn’t know she was a huge comic strip fan. I am sorry for saying you were filled with jealousy against other cartoonists.
