Is her head flat enough to be related?

Those look like hair picks in her hair now.

She’s seems to be somewhat of a Dragon Lady.

Emma Peel may want her jumpsuit back. Good old Hugo knows better than to make eye contact. We’re off to a good start here.

Looking at her hair, her eyes and also the way she is holding her cigarette, the same way Boris Karloff held his in the Mr. Wong movies. I’d safely wager that she is Oriental.

Another Oriental connection is the reappearance of Frizzletop!

Being a long time reader of this strip, and being an amatuer detective myself, I would venture to say that this is an oriental relative to the Flattop family- possibly named Jade Top! Great story line, and art! Kudos to the team. Keep up the great work.

What? She’s throwing out the Wrist Wizard instead of having it reverse-engineered?? Not a clever move, I’d say.

We learn definitively that Mustache Guy’s name is Hugo. And he is just as subservient as Hans to this mysterious, probably Oriental, “Mistress.” It has been intimated that her name, or at least soubriquet, is Stiletto, and the hair-pieces could be seen as miniature stilettos, though to my eyes the knives she is packing in some numbers on her belt look a little heftier than what I would regard as a stiletto. And what is that segmented thing on her back? —A long, really heavy hair-braid/queue (pigtail); or, some bizarre device, perhaps medical in nature?

I watch too many movies I suppose. Tracy in the fake hospital room still reminds me of the scene from Captain America. Now Stiletto, who I peg as Luce Liu as O-Ren Ishii/ Cottonmouth from Kill Bill. I’d love to see a final showdown between Stiletto and Liz fought in Kill Bill style. (And I know Team Tracy could pull it off without all the gratuitous violence. Our favorite strip has much more class than Tarantino.)

I can’t begin to guess who the “Mistress” might be, or who she might be related to, but I’m smitten. After too many years in Comics Hell, DICK TRACY is back again, with beautiful artwork, exciting stories, and imaginative villains, new and old. The last year of TRACY has been an absolute joy, and I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I dont know if she’s related but her hairstyle sure looks like Flattop’s. Her comment about the original wrist radio seems to indicate that she’s familiar with it but hasn’t been around for many years.

FOURTEEN!!! gettign closer! lol… mysterious, asian, looks like miss scarlet from clue, and you gotta LOVE that ponytail she’s rockin! lol! hugo and hans are her henchmen huh? mixing of asian and german cultures it seems. she’s only appeared since this past saturday and already stiletta jones is proving to be a very complex character!

first off guys, her name ISNT “stiletto” or “jade top” its STILETTA, second.. mike has already said she is “mrs flattop” as well as being the “bad romance villainess” to boot, third… its a thick ponytail going down her back not some medical device, and fourth… why take the chance of keeping the wrist wizard with you when tracy’s team can use it to track where he is? if they try to follow the signal from the wizard, it will lead them only to the river.. provided its still working of course. keeping it with her would lead them straight to her doorstep… and if shes as full of vengeance as i THINK she is. she wants tracys torture and ultimate demise to be a long and drawn out and painful as she possibly can.

Whoever she is, she must be really powerful to have Joe Stalin as her flunky.

Whoever she is, I’d hate to be married to her.

Why would Mrs. Flattop have to have the same flat head as her husband? Did Flattop search the world for a bride who had the same crazy head shape? Might she instead be a sister or cousin?

Is there some kind of mashup with Terry and the Pirates going on here?

So she IS Mrs. Flattop, which means Frizzletop must be some distant (not distant enough) relative.I don’t mind as long as Mike and Joe don’t give us another cousin named Carrottop (who actually LOOKS like a Dick Tracy villain! Have you seen him lately? Brrrrr!).

No offense meant to the art, which is great, but when I first glanced at that last panel I thought that she had some sort of slug on her back, like from Robert Heinlein’s, “The Puppet Masters”.

Is that an Anaconda on her back, or is she happy to see Tracy?

YES !!! Mike and Joe have created another great story.

Beyond the similarity to a Dragon Lady posture reflected in panel 1, Joe may well have had another subliminal recall for Franze’s physical action in panel 3 ?

It’s the ’ BOWING ’ style, the exagerated respect, that pulls the memory trigger. Makes you wonder which real life event might, have provided the recall in Joe’s mind ?

There is - one, that clearly stands out, and it wasn’t to a British Queen ;-)

From her eyes and head shape, she looks more like a blood relation of Flattop than a wife.

I think the term is Asian nowadays, and let’s let it breathe a few days, the boys will reveal when they’re ready.

I tried but didn’t see an avatar of Froggy the Gremlin.

My avatar is from STARMAN and reflects my lifelong interest in Superman as well as the fact we live on a farm. I have petted many cattle this way. I am careful of their body language though and haven’t been gored.

Good lord stupid woman. Use the radio to eavesdrop on the authorities, then use a bit of reverse engineering to make your own. Good grief, do I have to teach you villains everything!?!?!?! You just can’t can’t get bad help these days.

……really think we’ve gotta pretend we’re in a “timeless” environment and just relax and enjoy the story….who cares if Stilletta seems “too young” to have married Flattop? I mean, if you want to get technical Dick Tracy himself is, what? 100 or so, lol…..but we don’t let it bother us, do we? One other thing…..not fair to jump on people for not automatically assuming everyone named “Jones” is connected to Flattop….because not all “Jones” characters have been.

…….and you gotta love the way Mike has fearlessly raised the bar for himself……because after Mrs. Pruneface’s attempt at avenging her mate by abducting Tracy (and the subsequent events) he sure has his work cut out for him……thumbs up!!!

I think that’s just a narrow-backed moderistic chair she’s sitting on.
