There were crooked Wall Street bankers even then.

It’s the same every generation – our time was simpler, kinder, gentler, and things today are terrible, heartless, soulless. My parents hated the Stones, The Who and Pink Floyd. I’m no Linkin Park fan. I can deal with it.

That’s about the only reason I’d ever listen to ABBA.

Every generation had it one hit wonders and pure garbage music? songs? rap?. The oldies stations play what people like or can stand. I remember a lot of junk music – I do consider Abba in that section

ABBA – songs you could sing loudly in the car. But then - I say the same thing about a lot of ‘older’ songs. Like Alice Cooper, Ozzie, Elvis, KISS, Louie Armstrong, Ella Fiztgerald, …. heck… if you like the song… then its a good song. No matter what the decade.

I like a lot of different bands, singers, songs spanning many years. Not a big fan of punk, heavy metal or most country though. I love Coldplay, Maroon 5, The Wanted, Gotye, Flo Rida, Snow Patrol, Black Eyed Peas, Pearl Jam, etc, etc

    Also love that last panel!

Abba is one of my favorite groups next to the Beatles, John Denver, the Osmonds, the Eagles, and other oldies hits. That’s what oldies music is about: remember your younger days.

We didn’t have 9/11, but we did have gas rationing. That sucked. There’s something going on all the time. Music helps us through.

I like classical music, the music from the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and sometimes I’ll listen to the big band stuff, which I don’t think is bad at all. Most of today’s music I’m hearing I wouldn’t call music with cursing and other stuff I find offensive. It’s too bad some people think everyone else needs to hear it as they blast it from their car radios.
