My niece and her wife are clearly a butch/femme couple, if you look for signs of it, but my niece never acts like an obnoxious man nor her wife like a girlish woman. Not a bit.
Oddly enough I have only met one femme lesbian and I used to drink in the local lesbian pub (it was round the corner and you can have a good drink with the girls).
