I hate to tell you this Mdavis4183, but many of the weapons the cartels acquired were FULL AUTO! Video from Mexican “incidents”, even shown on Fox, and trying to blame Obama and Holder, have shown them fighting police with weapons on full automatic. Still photos of the damage have also demonstrated same, and they were going across the border long before “fast and furious”. But, anyone “familiar”, knows that for accuracy, and real “damage”, a big magazine, and semi-auto will do a LOT MORE actual damage than an automatic which is only really useful for suppression fire. (and/or killing a lot of innocent bystanders.)
The catastrophe is that it’s perfectly legal to buy assault weapons in border states, as many as you want, and no politician has the balls to question that. Thanks, party of death, for your gifts to “freedom.” Why not allow people to buy bombs and anti-aircraft missles? The line must be drawn somewhere, and below AK47s would suit my freedom just fine.
Sooo…depending on how much bloodshed should mean how much the outrage should be? Tell me, what is the number of people that SHOULD be killed before you Dims care?
How violent from a touchy feely dem. Where is your compassion? Or is that just another double standard reserved for someone that you agree with politically?
Stop the “illegal” drug trade in the U.S. by legalizing marijuana, and REALLY cracking down on the HEAD people running coke/meth/opiates etc, with serious prison time, and TREAT addicts, don’t imprison them, and you cut off the main source for the cartels. (btw, the REAL money men behind those cartels are “home grown USA”, and it’s almost totally ignored!)
If the Federal government was doing its job and securing our border, many of those other blood splatters would not be there.

The fact of the matter is that when these criminals are after guns they don’t care if they have to buy them or steal them…they will get their guns one way or another…and if not from us, they’ll get them from somewhere else. Criminals who have no problem taking human life don’t give a rat’s fanny about our gun laws.
Control the border, control the flow of guns across the border. Criminals who can’t get across our border can’t buy or steal guns from us. They will go elsewhere.
Clearly your ‘reality’ hasn’t met with the real world. When was the last time you met the business end of a gun weilded by someone that intended you harm?
Clearly you’re just focused on the guns. But take away the gun and tell me that the same thing won’t happen with a different weapon. Same old argument. You can’t legislate common sense.
Guns don’t kill people, bullets do. The U.S. ships a LOT more ammunition around the world than “weapons”, and is the leading source for that ammunition…
