It is one thing to have the power to BE the Official Opinion and another thing to FORCE people to change their behavior. There needs to be a vote of the people to authorize coercing the people. ...Bureaucrats that cannot be fired are the 4th Branch of Government and have to be monitored.
I don’t get the premise of this cartoon, who is telling people what to eat? What law forces people to eat foods they don’t like? Ramirez is actling like this is food Nazism and if you don’t eat what they tell you, they will have you in a reeducation camp. It’s almost taboo in this country to insult fast food. Remember when they sued Oprah Winfrey for insulting beef?
@ Brainded: The FDA is charged with ensuring products are safe for human consumption, not to see if they are “good for you.” A single large soda is no less or more a hazard to human health than three sodas 1/3rd the size of the large. It is not for the nanny state to decide what I choose to eat. If I want to eat chalk, then I’m gonna eat chalk. Is it smart of me to do so? No. But it’s still my right to choose what I shovel down my gullet.
Michael wants to make sure that the average consumer is vunerable to anything business can think up to sell. Then when they show up in the hospital with heart issues, we spread the cost of their hospital stay by charging $200 for Motrin. Next he will be recommending we sell a bag of glass to kids under 10.

It is more baloney to declare catsup a vegetable like Reagan did or declare pizza a vegetable like W. did.

“The real question is: What would Michelle demand we eat?”-She would make the same demand she’s made all along: None whatsoever.
