My dog actually loves the vacuum. It is the easiest way to remove dander and excess hair. Good thing he likes it. He is half black lab, half great Dane and half horse. And at 8 years old still behaves like a puppy.

Fireworks. I’m dreading 4th of July as my little pooch is very disturbed by loud noises and terrified of explosive sounds. I have over the years tried to accustom her to louder and louder unexpected sounds but only to a point. Last year I made a screaming heavy metal/hard rock CD and played it loud for the worst time period. It helped but unfortunately fireworks are popular 2 weeks before, all night long on the 4th and for 3 weeks or more after. I live in a very poor neighborhood, you’d think they’d save their money for necessities. I sure as hell have to.
