If Republicans wanted to reduce illegal immigration, they would prosecute those who hire illegal immigrants. Maybe this has happened in some state, but I have seen no news of it.
Obama beat them again. Meanwhile, name one policy other than anti-Obamacare that Mitt is either for or against, and no Faux news references are allowed. Oh ,I guess he is for his $77,000 tax deduction for his horse in the Olympics.
All Presidents have used the Executive Order or a form of the Executive Order to command and operate the Federal Government. Some used the Executive Order to push through laws when the Senate and Congress failed to move forward on what the leader of the free world felt were urgent and necessary laws that needed to be enacted immediately.
George W. Bush® (2001-2009) had a total of 291 Executive Orders throughout his 8 years in office. President George W. Bush started with EO 13198 and ended with EO 13488.
Ronald Reagan® (1981-1989) signed 380 Executive Orders into law. His EO’s started at 12287 and ended at 12667.
Well, at least I improved Ima’s spelling — he deleted the comment with “marshal” instead of “martial” — now let’s all work on correcting the factual side of his posts.
You really do live in fantasy land, don’t you? Congress allocates the funds for enforcing the laws they pass. Given a limited number of INS agents, isn’t it smarter to use them to deport violent criminals?
The kids of illegals are alot smarter than people give them credit for they know they cant get it until the document is signed and they have the card in their hands.
You mean the Congress that overwhelmingly passed the Dream Act through the House, and had a majority of votes in the Senate, but got unconstitutionally filibustered by 40 senators? It’s clear the President is on the right side of American opinion here, as well as the right side of history.
The ’toon is simple conservative idiocy that totally ignores the “W”/Cheney “unitary presidency” that used not only Executive Orders (that were often TOTALLY unConstitutional) and “signing statements” that were MORE than often unConstitutional. They also had a SCOTUS whose most “originalist” members were MOST READY to IGNORE and or CHANGE the Constittution
