well… I had THREE kids and NEVER did that to them… really! If I had an iphone at the time, would had been taking photos of them too! Lordy… it is so time for grandchildren..

I’m the youngest of four kids. I wouldn’t have minded my mom pandering to me like that; I’m pretty lucky I didn’t get sold for medical research.

Nice! What if she’s doing something that might result in a broken neck or back? Way to go Val!!

Phil gets an education just by being involved with a widow and her kids.

Ok, it is a little disturbing, and it does make Val seem a bit uncaring, BUT, the payoff in the last frame is truly funny.

I suppose as long as she can hear her voice, she knows her kid is o.k. Still, if she doesn’t hear it, will she notice? Glad Phil is there.

Gotta be honest- I only had one child and I still did that at the pool too! And he never knew… unless he’s here now chucklesnort!

I always had a camera ready to snap pictures of our kids milestones.

Of course this is terrible. Parents are supposed to pay complete attention to every movement their children make so that their children know the entire universe revolves around them- after all, they are the most important being in all creation. They will appreciate your parenting when they join the job market. Maybe they will be able to star in the Total Losers With Great Self Esteem reality show!

What Alix ought to do is stand there, not moving, and say, “Mom, watch me.” Being an analytical and sharp-brained young lady, that’s the sort of thing one would expect from her.
