So we shouldn’t use targeted bombs? We should go back to the type of bombs we used in say WW2? Or maybe the boots on the ground approach of Sherman during the Civil War? Yeah, that makes sense.

… What’s the difference between killing with a remote controlled drone or a bunch of fanatically controlled drones as they fly unsuspecting and innocent people into buildings filled with similar people?

I reiterate … What’s the difference between killing with a remote controlled drone or a bunch of fanatically controlled drones as they fly unsuspecting and innocent people into buildings filled with similar people? You also seem to forget that they attacked the World Trade Center twice. There’s no reason to believe that if we just left them alone they would do the same to us. The Taliban is just a pack religious Zealots who must have everything their way.. my way is the ONLY way… Or “I will Kill you”.

Hey.. I don’t think you read my stuff correctly, or I’m not reading yours correctly. I think we’re in agreement. Cut and paste? Well when someone out there comes up with the same crap, why would I reinvent the wheel? My arguments are the same so why change anything.

What do you think “Shock and Awe” was a Christmas Party? These drones are much more select than “Shock an Awe”. On the other hand, can you imagine what kind of poop would have hit the fan if Obama had been in office on 9/11? I think Bush got off Scott free. We had 8 years of Bush screw-ups, ineptness, and arrogance but let him put on a REAL war hero’s flight jacket and push the "Mission Accomplished” mantra AND ALL IS FORGIVEN.

All the right wing consapatives near me call me a “Liberal” and it sounds kind of nasty the way they say it. I looked it up in my own “personal” dictionary and it defined Liberal as someone who is not selfish like a conservative. What do you think?

I don’t know about you but if I knew there are bad guys around me and there is a likely hood I could be in eminent danger. I’d get the heck out of Dodge… or wherever we are. What about those people who were taken for a ride into the Twin Towers?

“We have met the enemy and he is US!” America has become a rogue nation, killing anyone we deem fit to kill, without review or consideration for innocents. We have lost our way. We are the terrorists now.

Oh, I don’t know but if some nasty looking guys with AK-47 (or whatever for the purest) and RPGs and similar weapons came into a meeting hall, a “diner”, “takeout”, or whatever and I was there I think I’d take a walk go to the other end of the village… move away from them. I do the same here at home. If somebody comes into my vicinity, as they say, “packen heat”, I leave the area and I’m not worried about drones.

You contine to forget that we are in a WAR!War is an organized, armed, and often a prolonged conflict that is carried on between states, nations, or other parties12 typified by extreme aggression, social disruption, and usually high mortality. War should be understood as an actual, intentional and widespread armed conflict between political communities, and therefore is defined as a form of political violence.13 The set of techniques used by a group to carry out war is known as warfare. An absence of war (and other violence) is usually called peace.

In 2003, Nobel Laureate Richard E. Smalley identified war as the sixth (of ten) biggest problems facing the society of mankind for the next fifty years.4 In the 1832 treatise On War, Prussian military general and theoretician Carl von Clausewitz defined war as follows: “War is thus an act of force to compel our enemy to do our will.”5

While some scholars see warfare as an inescapable and integral aspect of human culture, others argue that it is only inevitable under certain socio-cultural or ecological circumstances. Some scholars argue that the practice of war is not linked to any single type of political organization or society. Rather, as discussed by John Keegan in his History of Warfare, war is a universal phenomenon whose form and scope is defined by the society that wages it.6 Another argument suggests that since there are human societies in which warfare does not exist, humans may not be naturally disposed for warfare, which emerges under particular circumstances.7 The ever changing technologies and potentials of war extend along a historical continuum. At the one end lies the endemic warfare of the Paleolithic[citation needed] with its stones and clubs, and the naturally limited loss of life associated with the use of such weapons. Found at the other end of this continuum is nuclear warfare, along with the recently developed possible outcome of its use, namely the potential risk of the complete extinction of the human species.

Mine’s not as "simple” (and I mean simple) thought process world as your’s appears to be. Oh just invite them in. Find out why they may have a problem with you and your government. Sit down and maybe have a spot of tea. Everything will be just fine, you’ll see.Churchill should have tried that with Hitler and we could be seeimg you goose-stepping past The Tower of London.

With your persuasive talents you should have NO TROUBLE getting them to the table; however, was it Hitler and his boys that came to negotiate? I think it was ONLY after he was dead and the cause was lost. Same goes for Japan

I’m not sure you could fairly say that Viet Nam was a “negotiated” settlement. I don’t think anyone would have negotiated how the U.S. got out of there … might have been negotiations towards a settlement but I’m not sure an agreement was truly reached or the terms of the exit were passed on to the VC troupes. As far as Afghanistan is concerned, the terrorists groups must know that the U.S. wants to get out of there. Why don’t they just go do whatever they would have been normally doing and come out after everyone has gone home?
