well yeah, sometimes they’re ok.

We stick our children in front of violent TV screens, plug loud decibels of meaningless pop music into their ears and force feed them reclaimed meat (and call it a Happy Meal).

I live on the lot 13 of my subdivision, my daughter was born on the 13th. I was born on the 31st and I’m dyslexic.

of course, all those things with the number 13 were intentional to signify the original 13 colonies

I agree, EMT. Otherwise it seems unlucky. As for the ear drums, WHAT’D YOU SAY, MA?

And as we can all attest, for America the number 13 has worked out best!

And in India children are blinded so they can be better beggers?

Ever notice odd practices are usually directed toward women and children. Example: The old Chinese practice of foot binding, which essentially crippled women. Had the men followed this practice, they would have been history in the first battle they engaged in. (Hard to fight if you are crippled)

Another practice I never saw any purpose to was one the Flathead Indians practiced, ie placing a hinged board over the heads of babies to flatten their heads.

Makes doing headstands easier.
