    A Hooper rating was something used to rank radio programs in the 30’s and 40’s. This would probably be the late 1940s as Larry Parks became a big star in 1946 when he starred in The Jolson Story.

    Sure it isn’t 60’s despite the pork belly futures that brought home the bacon for quite a few decades. .

    There was a Fastbuck character late 60’s early 70’s, king of pork and beans, that nearly cooked Salome to win a gormet contest judged by Sir ’Orble Gasse Payne. Same face but not so tall.
