I don’t think it’s supposed to be Arlington – I think it was just a meshing of the eternal flame with the disco ball. Doesn’t work very well, but hey, it’s a tribute of sorts, I guess.

I can not BELIEVE she was nominated for the rock and roll hall of fame. She is DISCO. The sex pistols were right, the hall is made of p*ss

One day, a customer came into the record store I worked in and he was all aglow. He didn’t know the name of it, but it was that song that went on and on with the beautiful lady singing, moaning and groaning, he just had to buy a copy of it. At the time, I had no idea it was the Donna Summer hit, Love to Love You Baby. Soon it was selling, I knew what it was. I’m still not sure how they fit 17 minutes on a single 45 RPM record.

Dona never much cared for the “Disco Queen” title.

As a genre, Disco generally sucks. Most Disco records, taken individually, suck. But there are SOME Disco records which definitely do NOT suck. “I Feel Love” is a great goddam record.

    (So is “Stayin’ Alive,” frankly.)
