Yup. Quite necessary since all of those signs came from the same street corner.

    Over-regulation requires serious deregulation.

If you don’t think we are over-regulated try starting your own business. You’ll drown in the ADA requirements alone.

The voters turned down tax bases to cover police, fire, roads, bridges, and many other services yesterday. It’s TEA pouring time, and when they find that cyanide capsule in the bottom of their pot, they’ll whine, but of course only for a moment. Can’t wait for them to blame “liberal spending” when those aggressive prison sentences don’t matter, because there will be no money to run the jails, and no cops on the street. Welcome to the15th century the Republicans have returned to.

As to that idiot comment on ADA, I was working with the disabled for a long time before it passed. One simple element was how many more customers would be served, profitably, with very minor changes in access. With a growing, elderly, and financially stable component in society, NOT providing access will see the “goodbye” sign on even more store fronts, because a few minor, and cheap changes won’t be made. In NEW construction, the argument is moot, and even dumber, as all those women with strollers and little kids find those “ADA” requirements VERY beneficial to their “shopping experience”.

I just love how selfish, and blatantly stupid, “conservatives” have become.

Buyers beware…of what you buy into…for you get what you pay for…no taxes, no infrastructure, no rule of law…and anarchy reigns.

Where on Earth do you get your facts? Or are they from Mars? Bush introduced the TSA, remember??

Bush administration created almost twice the number of regs as Obama in the same time period. MOST of Bush’s were to UNDO previous regulatory authorities, and controls. Bush in 2007 made almost as many changes to just the 31 CFR to make it easier on the offshore oil industry as the total of Obama’s. Proving once again right is wrong, just like “the religious right”, which is neither.

I just love the crotch-high sawed-off stub of metal post. There’s a windfall for several lawyers in just that one alone!Time for Glass-Steagall to be reinstated, and Wall Street to clean up its act, before we notice we’re in the Depression of 2012.This ain’t gonna fix itself, folks!

Clay Bennett is not just a very talented artist, but he has the ability to communicate concepts with the power of “Duh!” To demonstrate the Zen quality of the Far Right, of course, we could have a “Regulation” truck imposing controls on gays, abortions, and the litany of social issues packaged under the label: Jobs, Jobs, Jobs.

    Think visually.

Did you ever stop to think that this cartoon might just be a statement on deregulation in general?

There is no indication that all of these signs came from one corner, sbwinn. In fact, quite the opposite (only the stop sign seems to have been removed from this particular location).

And there is no reference to the Obama Administration, rightisright. So, I don’t believe Bennett is implying that the present administration is taking deregulation too far.

Certainly nobody would argue against eliminating needless regulation, but there is a point where the zeal for deregulation becomes quite dangerous to society at large (as the cartoon implies).

Clay has again proven himself to be a big government schmuck. However, when Clay gets a job where government regulations tell him what he can and cannot do, then he will scream bloody murder about ‘freedom of the press’ and his ‘rights have been taken away.’

    What an idiot!

Nice attempt to dodge your mistake there. Just admit defeat and move on, okay?

Tell the truth. You want the TSA scrapped so they won’t find out what’s in your diaper.

Spoken like a true Marxist. Hey AgentSmith! Talk to about twenty different businessmen. Ask them how government regulations are SERIOUSLY hurting their business.

Oh, you can pick and choose. There are a few good regulations. But Bennett’s cartoon isn’t showing regulations, it is showing disregard for LAW. Two different things.

Google Bernie Marcus founder of Home Depot. Watch a few videos. He will inform you of the absolute stifling government regulations that are driving businesses overseas.

Guess Jim hasn’t ever been in the real world, and yes, I’ve been a “successful businessman”, and know many others. DEregulation since Reagan is exactly what DID send all our jobs, and businesses overseas.
