Actually, Adelson got Santorum out of the race, since Santorum couldn’t solidify the tea party vote as long as Gingrich was well supplied with Adelson funds. Which was priceless to Adelson, who doesn’t want an idiot religious zealot in the White House, but does want a party that will coddle him. He’s laughing all the way to the capital-gains-tax-rate-at-zero.
Seems we really need some campaign and contribution reform. How about a limit of $1,000 per person to each candidate or measure on the ballot. And, fix that stupid ‘corporations are people’ thing.
