Ted Rall for April 25, 2012
Transcript:
Profiteering in the guise of environmentalism. Woman: Please use your own bags. Every time you do, you save an endangered parasite! And we make six cents. Man 1: Not serving you tap water with your meal helps save enough water to make a new lake somewhere! And lets us fire a dishwasher. Man 2: You're not really going to make us wash your towels every day are you? Don't you care about the planet? Or our bottom line? Man 3: Printed money uses tons of paper and toxic inks! So we're cutting your pay.

Al Gore may have converted him.
Ted makes a great point, so many businesses are saying “Go Green” for their own bottom line. And again its a lefty style emotional tactic!

Someone let the idiot Rall loose again.

Just so we’ll know, Ted, is there anything you are in favor of?
Motivemagus about 12 years ago
Everyone is trying to take this for their view. I don’t think Rall has anything against being green, josefw, he is (consistently, I might add), criticizing business for pretending to be green in order to boost their profit margins. It’s called “greenwashing.”

Typical Rall — that means it’s funny and thought provoking.

so, what else is new?

Ted’s rant is that the thinker should not always be the victim.
eepatt about 12 years ago
That’s what you would like to believe, not what is true. Your stereotyping is just another form of hypocrisy.
kamwick about 12 years ago
Really? Your evidence for this is?

.The land is being polluted, so is the air, the lakes and rivers. If we spoil this Earth, we don’t get a new one.If a few people can also save money by doing the right thing, then so what.

Thank you, Ted. I’ve been saying this since forever. What an amazing scam this is for sooooooo many businesses! They want to make you feel good (or guilt) about their ripping you off.

“When did America start using fractions of a penny?”
For the fun of it, watch the 1999 movie with Ron Livingston called Office Space. There is an interest answer to the question, perhaps not the only one, but fun anyway.

Funny sad and true at the same time. Now think of all the shows at major theme parks where they talk about conservation etc. – now that’s true hypocrisy.

Hi everyone…late to the discussion, sorry.
Yeah, you guys didn’t need me, you were right, I hate the fact that corporations claim they’re helping the environment when all they care about is their bottom line. All these savings should be passed on to the consumer or donated to environmental causes.
