Not quite that inventive today. Some of the early high-end stairclimber exercise machines actually were like miniature “down” escalators.

It looks like an elevated treadmill more than an escalator because it seems flat.
I wonder how far the Master will take you Ziggy. Maybe just enough for you to want more.
