A face-first, double-tuck, open-mouthed shin grab! Where do you come up with this stuff. Darby, I need you to come out to dinner with the wife and I and our friends. You’re too much!

You’re right Bucky. These are facts. Great facts. It’s just that they’re just not true facts.

    I don’t suppose Bucky knows Neil Cassady…..but I’m pretty sure he’s channeling him….

of course it’s “para ti” not “para tu” but that doesn’t really answer the question of whether or not that makes it “dead air”

@dukedoug: yesterday, thanks for the cricket explanation ah, er, I think. I would have to watch it with someone who could explain as they play. I like watching sports, just ask my wife if you see her ,and let me know where she is!

I love the expression on Rob’s face.

Bucky is enough to make a person give up tv watching.

Fortunately, I wouldn’t know anything about this. I tried to watch a soccer game once, and the sheer boredom produced a migraine. Or possibly it was the vuvuzela’s. Anyway, it was the longest 30 seconds of my life.l

Does anyone find it odd that when the dog and cat converse, it makes sense and is some time funny, ironic and clever, but when either animal talks to the human it is senseless and mundane.

When I was twelve, I preferred European football to its American counterpart because anyone could get the point of the game just by watching. Nothing had to be explained. But these days, there’s too much of it, and I’m not twelve anymore. It also irritates me that footballers get paid millions every year to chase a little ball, while firefighters and nurses get laid off.

A nation that has baseball as their national sport shouldn’t have the right to call any other sport “boring!” ;OD

I live in “Little Portugal” and am about 6 blocks from “Little Italy”. Croatia Street is just a little further north. The “Brasil Bakery” is 5 blocks west. So in World Cup seasons past, I’ve heard ALL these accusations and more.

Me? I just ring my bell and cheer regardless. Let’s Go Togo!
