Yet more republican propaganda aimed at people who can’t or won’t look at the facts.Even though the number of oil drilling rigs under Bush never exceed 500, and the number as of Jan 2012 was 1208, the republicans insist on pretending Obama is obstructing oil production.
Took it down by mistake while writing a new post, sorry.I’m just saying that if production is related to regulation, then the country with the higher production probably has the better regulatory environment, all other factors being equal. But since other factors, like total reserves, aren’t equal, it’s devilishly hard to come to any conclusion about the relative affect due to regulations.
Its always fun to read the energy arguments. Simple physics and thermal dynamics tell us alternate energy is a long way off. All electric cars for instance would put a load on the grid that would require 100’s of new power plants. But we are shutting down some as we write. Its real simple. Plan on staying home, getting more blankets, eat the pets and look forward to a grim future. 7 trillion people and counting all competing for a gallon of gas, a watt of energy or a grain of wheat.
I would like to propose a law, that anyone can opt out of paying taxes that go to “green energy” subsidies or loans, but in doing so they would have to agree to only use fossil fuel energy now and in perpetuity.
You need to sit down with h w and explain to them that Obama hates “dirty” energy, and hasn’t done anything to get oil out of the ground. He or she seriously needs to be set straight on that…
You got that right. It’s the influence of religion… some people get in the habit of believing without thinking, and it spills over into all aspects of their lives.

Locally $3.84 a gallon yesterday, down from $3.98 last week. Everyone except Faux news has noticed.
