Wow, makes me think “WMD” all over again! An “individual right” to blow away anyone, or any country, because of “perceived threat”! True “self defense” has never been a problem, and those with concealed carry permits know that, or should.

The problem is the “Wayne La Pierre” wing of the NRA has gone nuts for a long time, and paid Wayne a LOT OF MONEY to lobby for them. Even the gun manufacturers have had their “problems” with Wayne’s, and the extreme right’s, views on “gun regulation and ownership”.

Not all gun owners are “gun nuts”, and the NRA now represents the latter, not former.

we have more prisons, more prisoners. we have more guns and fewer laws to stop people from doing dumb things with guns.It seems it would be reasonable if a person had to take a psychological test before being allowed to have a gun. I’m not anti-guns, just anti-people with mental problems having guns. And who is this “friend” who keeps defending Zimmerman? Is he being paid by the NRA or some other agency?

HAR!!! The “doctor” needs to visit Saudi Arabia, LOTS of laws, strictly enforced, he’d last about 2 1/2 hours there. Swish! Plop! Headless horseman in the Tardis.

^rightsright: well, the tape of Zimmerman being brought in doesn’t back up his story a whit. It becomes ever more clear that Zimmerman WAS the attacker, maybe he will next say it was because the kid was drinking ever clear, or maybe he was himself? Any phony port when you’re caught in your own storm.

Wow, talk about a story with conflicting moral perspectives. A senior citizen defending his home on the one hand and a convicted felon posssessing and using a gun on the other. And it’s the same guy. Yikes!

SkepticCal, no, based on the evidence, and it keeps getting worse for Zimmerman with each new obvious lie. BTW, you may have noted I’ve strongly stated, many times, that the first minutes of the Rodney King tape only shown a couple times, showed he was rightfully arrested, and should have been charged with assault on the officers while resisting arrest (when he got up and choked a deputy, but that part wasn’t shown over and over). Yes, the officers SHOULD have been suspended for their later actions, OVER reactions, but the basic facts are, King should have never been “defended” resulting in the deaths of over 70 people in the riots.

Even if evidence IS available; our justice system SHOULD be fully functional, and provide for “the common defense”, including in “non-military” actions. Sadly, prejudice, and “media marketing” are still rampant, and take priority over “justice” and it works many ways.

Yup, let’s listen to Rush and bomb Iran, or Syria, to take our minds off it.

Interesting. If a criminal points a gun at you, you should be able to kill them. Wonderful! Tell me, what about a kid who is actively running away from you, while you’re on the phone with a 911 operator telling you, “We don’t NEED you to follow him!”? What about then? Should Stand Your Ground be changed to “Run The Browns Down”? Only in the super-racist South.

Just think, if the KKK had gained control of Government in the 20’s, when at its strongest, there would have been No FDR, No Okies, No Unions, No American involvement in WWII, No Aide to Europe—other than to Germany; No U.N. (as pushed through and so created and (virtually) run by the U.S.); therefore, No Jewish Problem of1946-48; No invasion of the Palestinian Lands and a Jewish State; No U.N./Jewish generated Palestinian problems; No Civil Rights Movement in the 60’s and its self-generated problems; No MLK, No Catholic Problem and No JKF or LBJ; No Nuclear Treaties, No lost war in Viet Nam or any war since then as Nukes would have been legal and used as needed, and America would be 100% WASPS with No peoples of colors except as properly owned; No Jews except the dead; No Catholic’s, lesbians, gays or other perverts except those tightly closeted or found, arrested, and in Jail awaiting de-sexing, deportation or execution; No “Hoodie Problem” as those who brought it about would never have been born in America. That could have been the America of today and still could be if we vote in the Right Politicians (which does not include the Catholic Wayne La Pierre) who will properly “Cleanse” the Nation.
