“Those are my principles. If you don’t like them…well, I have others” — Groucho Marx
And let’s not forget that "flip-flopper’ was the GOP’s main gripe with John Kerry in ‘04. If Mitt gets the nomination, they’re gonna have a LOT of ‘splainin’ to do.
Watch MY link from snopes.com, Doc…and you can edit a video to make it say anything you want, Just like Andrew Breitbart did with Shirley Sherrod.
Sorry the only tears coming outta my eyes are tears of LAUGHTER. Why th’ heck did you feel such a crying need to try and prove Gore said that anyway?
Could it be that you have no argument to make against the fact that the Repubs, to paraphrase the immortal words of Edward G. Robiinson, “Can dish it out, but they can’t take it.”…and you’re trying to change the subject?
What can I say, I haven’t had this much fun trying to build a rational argument since that whiny, racist, spoiled-brat troll, ‘libby X whatever’ got banned
No, I brought it up as one of MANY examples of conservatives tarring Dems with a statement they or one of their staffers made…and then not being able to deal wih it when they’re on the receiving end of that proposition
As I said before, I’m not posting to try and persuade HIM, it’s for the benefit of any passing independent voter who might be tempted to give his claim some credibility.
Happily with the ‘Good’ Doctor’s ‘Snopes is controlled by the Dems’ statement, that’s not longer even a remote possibility.
Al gore never said he invented the internet. that was a “push” of a misinterpretation, in other words an outright lie repeated by the republicans and which they attached to gore.

what gore said was accurate. he sponsored the bill that opened arpanet to the public. politically and financially he was a cornerstone for bringing to each of us what we are communicating over in THIS medium now.
the GOP are experts at putting words and meanings in other peoples mouths that they did not say or mean.
so do not keep repeating that lie.
he never claimed he “invented” it intellectually. the ‘creation’ of the internet available to the public may be clumsily worded, but it is not innaccurate.
you’re wrong. he said he ‘created’. which as sponsor of a bill he did.
you’re choice of misquoting him by using the word ‘invent’ above instead of ‘created’ is bush’s and dick army’s word (republicans) and was an intentional misquote. is your use of created also and intentional misquote or just ignorant?

Simon, don’t forget that Gore never actually claimed to have invented the Internet.
This gaffe on the part of Romney’s gang that can’t shoot straight actually happened.
Just another Meg Whitman-like “business will save us” fat cat who thinks he can buy an election.
