I know I read somewhere that to do things the right way that would save and protect the environment would cost much less in the long run than cutting corners and polluting it. But greed wins out every time no matter what your party persuasion is. Saving the planet is low on businesses list of things to do so we get the tree huggers who go to the opposite extreme and no one ‘wins’ !

In fact, we have a tremendous opportunity to make the economy boom by being greener. Greentech is starting to take off all over the world. We could make the world cleaner, reduce our need for oil (and thus our dependency on Arab oil, something you’d think those “patriots” in the GOP would appreciate), and also free up petroleum — an enormously versatile substance — for other purposes than burning. Not to mention the fact that a lot of technologies like solar can create far more efficient use of resources by putting the energy required at the source instead of relying on increasingly scarce materials like mined metals to make wiring everywhere.Economists have made this very clear. The coal and oil companies, on the other hand…they’re blowing a lot of smoke.

The Dem’s are squashing the ability for Iron mines to operate in Wisconsin. Thus prohibiting much needed job growth in 2 private sectors as WI is also big into mining equipment manufacturing… Why you ask? Because they don’t want Gov Walker to get credit for job growth in the state. So the Dem’s are sacrificing Jobs for political rhetorick.

There is only one…….http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/planet-call-home-seen-240-miles-14500619.html. Beautiful, unique, and not easy to replace, or recover once poisoned by thoughtless greedy humans.

This DOES represent “Doc” Hastings and the Republican controlled House Natural Resources (destruction) Committee. The bills they’re pushing out are ABSURD!! And deadly to our future.
