Well, as Google provided me: The first recorded use of the term “Pink Elephant” is by Jack London in 1913, who describes one kind of alcoholic in the autobiographical John Barleycorn, as “the man whom we all know, stupid, unimaginative, whose brain is bitten numbly by numb maggots; who walks generously…falls often…and who sees, in the extremity of his ecstasy, blue mice and pink elephants. He is the type that gives rise to the jokes in the funny papers.”
It would be better for America that they were drunk on alcohol rather than their personal Religious dogmas, egomania, and quest for power; whatever happened to serving the American People?
It’s a shame we don’t have the Republican party of Ike any more, and are left with the one Jack London describes, thanks, Lew for London’s definition of the current “right”.

Embracing irrational, hateful, ignorant, boring, and self serving candidates results in bungie jumping without the bungie.

The president decide to make use of a small super pac, but the elephats are making out like bandits. Too bad their candidates are all such losers.
