Welcome to the new world, folks. A world with more erratic and violent weather, with more energy in the atmosphere, less predictability, and more chaos and crisis.Better get used to it.

I wish the local news/weather stations and newspapers would show the jet stream. The jet stream drags and pushes weather systems around. And I think this year it has been a little unusual.

Same reason we are seeing the warmest winter in decades on the East coast.

So? Not BS, it’s science. You should try it sometime.

WEATHER IS NOT CLIMATE! If you actually knew anything about AGW, you would know that we expect far more variability in the weather, plus the fact that we may get a shift in ocean currents and the jet stream. This is exactly the kind of thing we should be expecting — something that used to be aberrant weather. What scam? You think scientists are making that much money? Obviously you don’t know any!

Global warming has been proved by 97% of scientists. I know that the AChristian right nuts don’t believe in science. But science isn’t a religion, it’s stating facts. I’m a quaker and we believe that caring for God’s creation is what God told us to do.

My sister and I farm, so we are on mailing lists for weather forecasts which highlight the impact which weather will have on agriculture. A couple of years ago, we began receiving reports that, because of the recent volcanic eruptions (at that time, in Iceland), forecasters were expecting four to five years of colder winters with record amounts of snowfall. According to the forecasters at that time, in times past, when there have been serious volcanic eruptions, the pattern has always been that the volcanic eruptions are followed by four to five years of severely harsh winters. Since Mt. Etna has also experienced some recent eruptions, I am guessing that the severely harsh winters are going to continue for quite a while longer.

Yes, Tigger, I’m sure that a “cyclical weather pattern” explains all of these record high temperatures. Maybe you should look up what “cyclical” means. Never in history, or pre-history as far as we can determine, has the climate changed as much in 100 years as it has in the last 100, and we have excellent models, theories, tested experiments, and measurements to tell us exactly why. All we need now is politicians with brains.

Ha. It’s snowing in Rome, raining in Death Valley, and freezing in Hawaii? Can’t be global climate change, can it? No, of course not. And, if it is, it is definitely not out fault. So keep those chimney smoking!!

Last night our TV “weatherman” actually said he went up on the roof to see what the “weather” was doing at the moment. That a large number of these “weather men” say they doubt AGW, is hardly reassuring. Now that biologists, entomologists, oceanographers, climatologists, geologists, silviculturists, agronomists, physicists, chemists, zoologists, botanists, and those from other SCIENCES can ALL CONFIRM AGW is real, and happening, should overrule a few “pretty faces” in front of green screens reading those yes, teleprompters. But, the public is afraid of science, because TV announcers and pastors tell them to go with myths and frauds, and buy more gas (and other fossil fuels).

Common sense said airplanes wouldn’t work, vaccination made no sense, people couldn’t go to the moon, restarting hearts is impossible…again, try science instead. It works better than “common sense,” because it’s not filtered through a limited human brain but anchored in facts.
