Had our government allowed GM to go under, Ford, Chrysler, and other companies would have picked up the pieces for a song, hired the best of the former workers, and done very well. Instead, our government rushed in, wasted billions of our taxpayer dollars, and we are left with a $20 billion loss on the deal according to nongovernment analysts.
