In the rural south, the picture of the deer on the sign usually has a bullet hole in it.

We got deer signs around here that has holes in them…now if the deer would stop holding the signs, maybe we have more deer !!!!

We see deer signs everywhere here in SW PA. You have to really watch out for them when it’s dark, or BAM! You hit one.

Natural selection. The deer that cross where there are no signs get run down and eliminated from the population. Eventually, deer will learn how to use all forms crossings and to read traffic lights.
