Yes, the Union is out of money. Because we don’t have enough revenue. Because taxes on the Rich are too low. Because of the Bush Tax Cuts. How is this hard to understand?
IF we do give “tax breaks” to employers who employ AMERICANS, then those manufacturers will make more profit, and pay taxes, but at a lower rate, thus encouraging employing AMERICANS who will PAY MORE IN TAXES, and offset, but not replace, or maybe WILL even exceed the “cost” to the treasury of those cuts. It’s a more accurate application of the broken “theory” Republicans have called for.
“We cannot borrow our way out of debt, this is what Obama wants to do.”
Tell that to FDR.
“Bill Clinton told the Democrats they had to do it.”
That’s cuz the Republicans were holding the unemployed hostage. John Bonehead said that if the Bush tax cuts were not extended the unemployed would not get their benefits. And dealing with the Tea Bagger Congress was not an option for the administration.
“You have to pass the health care bill before you can read what’s in it.”
She said that because at the time (I know you guys have short term memories) the bill was being gutted (remember the public option). How can you give specifics to something you’re working on?
Oh, com’on, Time Weaver, can’t even I, the “hated dim lib” give business persons a LITTLE credit for potential integrity?? Granted, none of the tax breaks corporations got under “W” or other Republican plans did anything but export jobs and increase corporate profits to record highs, but hey, I tried.

Obama is the only candidate that has a plan to pay for his policies. Cutting taxes on the rich isn’t going to solve our debt crisis.
