There was a story a while back in the newspapers about a guy in Australia who narrowly missed getting hit by a meteorite—twice. “It’s getting hard to find someone who’ll play golf with me” he said.
There are experiences that you might call ‘exciting’ yet would just as soon not endure. Certainly there were a few of that nature that I would have gladly done without. Deal with enough of those, and ‘boredom’ looks better and better.
