We had Saint Bernards as house dogs for over twenty years. They were wonderful – if a bit large when they wanted to sit in your lap. Our cats loved them.
Yes, Great Danes are born with floppy ears and need to be clipped to stand up.
I have 4 Great Danes, all of them loving and sweet. I’d much rather have a Great Dane than a Rottweiler.
They do indeed know if your talking about them. I’ve seen my dogs’ ears perk up many times when I was talking about them to some one else.
