The president proposes and congress disposes. Congress has done nothing to improve life for the Amercan citizen. It just sita around and complains and suck on its thumb.
The Republicans have passed NO bills that would create jobs, and they’ve blocked the Democratic jobs bill and anything that might help the economy. We really don’t need to drill more or pollute more, that only kills people, it doesn’t create jobs. Did you know that there are twice as many jobs currently in “clean” energy than in coal, oil, and gas put together?
He took command when the ship of state had run aground. He’s got 10 months to show some kind of progress, even with two houses paddling in opposite directions (they also only have 10 months). If Skipper can’t pull it off, lets replace him, plus the entire House & a third of the Senate. We ain’t gonna change the circus if we keep sending the same bunch of clowns.
I loved it when “the right” tried to give “W” all the credit for getting bin Laden, and they’re still trying. Interesting how yet no matter how badly “W” screwed up, no blame can attach.
I loved it when “the left” tried to give “Obozo” all the credit for getting bin Laden, and they’re still trying. Interesting how no matter how badly “Obozo” screws up, no blame can attach.
“Prithee, what did the Dems do when they had both the Presidency and the Congress?”
The House passed a lot of progressive bills, most of which died in the Senate thanks to Republican filibusters (quit with the super majority lie. Franken wasn’t seated and Ted was hospitalized before Franken took office). For example the House passed four jobs bills that were going to bring back jobs back into the United States. Thanks to the Cons’ record number of filibusters those ideas that were going to put Americans back to work never got passed. As for the Healthcare law the only Republican vote that helped pass that law was Arlen Specter (yeah he changed to a D but he was mostly an R during his time in office). Also two independents voted for that law. Check the voting log.
BTW it takes more than two years to fix eight years of damage. What I find amazing is the fact that you cons ignore the thrashing that War Shrub gave to this country. The U.S. was headed towards recession while he was still in office. You guys may have short memories but we don’t.
^So you’re admitting that “W” screwed things up so bad even two terms won’t be long enough to fix them all, especially with Republicans like Boehner in Congress??
