Like Chuck E. Cheese, McDonalds, Burger King, Jack-N-The-Box, Good Burger (doesn’t exsist), Shoney’s, Sonny’s (in and around Atlanta), and Steak "n Shake (also in and around Atlanta). Those are deemed “family friendly”.
Husband and I are going to Medieval Times for the new year (which is also a family-friendly place in Atlanta). I really miss First Night… Atlanta used to have this amazing New Year’s Eve festival downtown, organized by the city and its various artistic groups. For about six hours or so, a dozen venues each had 30-60 minute shows. One price got you admission to everything. Cars were banned to the periphery, so the streets were full of pedestrians… Lots of vendors selling food… And many of the shows were just awful, which for my group, added massively to the fun. It was also an alcohol-free celebration with plenty of kids. I miss that festival. I miss it a lot. Went every year in high school and college!
@Josh and other Atlantans. I moved down here to Statesboro about 30 years ago and sadly this area still doesn’t have the family friendly places to do New Year celebrations.However there’s good news, we’re getting a Steak’n’Shake this coming year.Our local bowling center was good for New Year’s Eve for all a while back, but now my kid’s grown. Maybe when he has kids the market will have arrived here.Happy New Year to all!

@skessa A bonfire on the lakefront? No way! Shes at the Ritz. I’d prefer the lakefront personally. We’re having a bonfire tonight but no lake.
