Someone has to pay for the bloated retirement promises the unions made years ago. No one saw email or UPS coming to take all the profits from the USPS.

Conversely UPS and FedEx routinely accept and then transfer parcels to USPS for final delivery.

Privatized delivery is proven to be Quicker—-as a rural shopper by QVC-tv and catalogs by 800 #s….UPS and FedEx are superfast compared to the US postal service.I order printer ink one day and it is at my door the next day!I called to order Christmas items and was told that “regular” shipping was the USPS and “very slow”…

p.s. and the USPS is deep, deep in red ink!

UPS and USPS all work hand-in-hand. We need the USPS, UPS and FedEx also need the USPS.It’s time to un-privatize to USPS and treat it as a necessary utility.

Just as breaking up Ma Bell has lowered telephone costs or competition has lowered internet costs. Fact is if USPS is privatized how do you justify forcing a private mail delivery system to deliver mail to rural corners of the US. We no longer will be one Nation from a logistical perspective.

If the USPS goes private average people won’t be able to afford sending first class mail. On the plus side maybe all of that junk mail will disappear…
