Compared to Harley, Bull Connor was a liberal progressive.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

our precious first amendment rights to not have a price tag on them.

I recall that eventually the G.I. education bill (after WWII) resulted due to the regret caused by that prior incident Baslim. The 1930’s protestors were rounded up and sent to the coast which was promptly it by a Hurricane, killing and injuring those poor soldiers looking for relief from their government.

“Tea party = PeacefulOWS = urban illegal camping,”

OWS = grass rootsTea Party = AstroTurf

Yes, natural grass can be a little more unruly. We will have to see where this all leads. I hope that the Supreme Court legislating citizenship for corporations and unions will not kill American Democracy. I fear it could.

So Radish offers up a summary of a published article along with his bibliography, uses proper grammar and use of quotes. Harley counters with cognitive dissonance and emotionally charged vernacular words showing opinion unsupported by any sources.Radish gets an “A”. Harley, I’m handing your paper back with an “I” for now. Please research your subject more and I’ll adjust your grade.

Good work Churchill! You get an “A” as well. I do find it interesting that the articles chose to bring OWS into it when the NYT article was not about them. I suppose that could be considered bias as well for not showing both sides and the parallel between the two groups. So in conclusion, I suppose there are very few unbiased media outlets left. I’m sticking to history instead. Now let’s see, this title looks good – “Being George Washington” by… Glen Beck. Sigh…

OWS is peaceful. Peaceful doesn’t mean quiet.

and it’s hardly the OWS’s fault when the police incite riot and soak peaceful demonstrators who are sitting down with pepper spray.

there are rules to peaceful protest that have been used by both sides for decades to keep the peace. The police seem to have forgotten those rules this time around.

does anyone really think the police felt threatened at UC davis by a bunch of kids sitting on the ground?

    BS

TEA party demonstrators waving American flags made in China, and demanding that those who moved production of those flags, and everything else, offshore, shouldn’t pay any taxes. Hmmmmmm, who got conned?
