Could be a lack of understanding or great understanding and being able to twist words so that it became funny, and bitterly ironic.

If the average person could see the daily usage of military related vehicles, it would astound them. It’s mind numbing!

Where does all of that gas money come from? Your pocket and mine. Get us out of the Middle East. We don’t belong there and are not welcome!

What’s really interesting is that the military some time ago started looking for “alternate fuels”, AND they also have projected the true cost of “AGW” as it affects the cost and impacts for our military in the not so distant future. Like big organizations everywhere, some of their leaders can see the obvious, and others are merely “politicos” raised far above their Peter level, who fly with the “We are US” crowd that can’t read the facts, only TEA leaves.

Yeah, let’s just keep burning oil — it’s never going to run out, is it?

Zit, also have a friend that was Navy off ’Nam- he though a round landing a quarter mile away was “close”, same-o for you? Knew some swift boat guys, and some medics, though I was Army, your posts, and constant insults, indicate you were “blue water” however.

No offense to Navy! My son just got out on disability after 13 years, but he was never on a ship, having spent his time with folks who wear those “different” fatigues, or well, when they’re in uniform at all.

Baslim, I agree that DARPA has come up with some cool stuff, but unfortunately, they’ve also come up with some VERY expensive crappolinno over the last few years, and have gone downhill in favor of that “industrial” in the “military-industrial complex”.

You should refer to Boy King “W”: Bush v Gore, Cheney’s “Energy Task Force,” (when will the public get a look at those documents) “Kenny Boy Lay,” (remember ENRON, anyone?) “Bin Laden Determined to Strike”, 9-11, “Dead or Alive”, “Axis of Evil”, Freedom Fries, Patriot Act, indefinite detention, extraordinary rendition, Guantanamo, yellow-cake uranium, (nuclear program in Iraq, indeed) “shock and awe”, “mission accomplished,” (what an embarrassment), Halliburton (still collecting tax dollars), Blackwater Security (the only thing secure are the tax dollars owed the US Treasury), Jessica Lynch, Pat Tillman, Bagram, Abu Ghraib, water boarding, Swift boating, tax cuts (only for the rich pals), soaring deficits,("DEFICITS DON’T MATTER—CHENEY) Terry Schiavo, stem cell research, (or lack thereof) domestic surveillance, telecom immunity, Hurricane Katrina, (really? a flyover in Air Force One? really), the "shoulder massage for German Chancellor Angela Merkel (how creepy was that), the collapse of Wall Street—(a sweet mess W left for BHO).

OBAMA 2012: Give him the same term you gave the clown who got us into this mess.
