I’m a philosophy Ph.D. and I read Bob every day. I didn’t know Frank was a fellow philosopher.

You’re still young, Frank. Is this what you want to do for the rest of your working life?

Besides, what’ll you do with all the swag? For that matter what would WE do with all that swag?

There are three comic strips that make my day: Pearls Before Swine, Overboard and Bob the Squirrel.There is NO way I could face the loss of any one of them.

I went to art school and studied fine art thinking that I could make a living as such. The high hopes of being young without a clue..

I love Bob the Squirrel! How about giving it another 10 years…….

Hmmm – Frank, I love Bob dearly, but if the time is right, if its what you want, if its your heart’s desire, if its where you want to be, if the shoe fits, if the iron is hot, if its your fondest wish, if this is the moment, if its the nail’s head, if your going to hang your hat, if its the fork in the road, if its the high way, if its the right path, if its the in thing, if you want out, if its the only way…Well, there you are.

Never realized how difficult it is to make a living as a cartoonist. Doesn’t seem right when so much talent and wit is involved.

Seriously, don’t quit! Crumb has ended, Steve Skelton was turned down by King Features, the IDIOTS!, so he’s doing the old strips only 3 days a week now, and has added color, but no new strips, gee, one by one, my favorites are falling by the wayside!

i hope you don’t quit. If it’s getting to be too much, maybe cut down to 3 days, but we will miss you and Bob. I can’t shake the feeling that Bob doesn’t want you to quit.
