Maybe its the ghoul….

That show will probably get a rating bonanza from Tracy’s gun battle….and some loon producer will likely try to make another one happen soon.

Although Flattop’s descending dialogue in panel 3 seems to indicate that he is indeed Putty Puss, this still seems somehow off to me. I look forward to detailed exposition at some point….

And the chase is on. Great way to start a week of strips!

Not much room for story if, like Chester Gould, Mike intends to wrap this up in time for Christmas (or Hanukkah, this year.) Still, I do love a good Dick Tracy chase!

Show me a cop that shoots with one hand, and I’’ll show you a cop that misses his target.

If Tracy were still taking cover behind the table, using one hand would make sense. But it looks like he’s jumped out.

It’s refreshing to see the bad guy running away for a change, if you catch my drift.

@ Joe StatonI’ve been reading Elfquest lately. Guess whose name I found in the credits? – Joe Staton! – I didn’t know. No wonder Elfquest is so good!

I think that’s Harley going down the stairs in Panel 3.

Even though he’s melting and singing like a loon (and not the real deal).It’s exciting to see Tracy in a shoot out with “Flat Top”!

If Harley is going down the stairs in panel three then who is shooting it out with DT in the first two panels? If it’s only Harley in the Flattop make up it would seem to need a transistion panel with Harley saying “I’m outta here” or some such.

I’m thinking that is the shooter in panel three, and that it is Abner Kadaver, who was dressed as Flattop. He would know the TV station layout from when he worked there. Putty Puss was made up as Harley all along, and now I bet he’s making a clean getaway in the confusion.

Is Tonsil’s really dead? Did Mr. Panda see him die?

For those of you who like fantasy novels, www.fantasyliterature.com is chock full of reviews of (maybe) thousands of books of that genre (and some SF).
