Havent heard about Syria in the news since they were liberated, but wouldn´t expect more from them considering the last thing we heard was about their mass graves.

This all started with the assassination of Rafik Hariri ,president of Lebanon and reputed son of the Saudi royal house. The Assad regime which is Alawite and considered crypto-Christian by the Sunnis has been on the outs with the Sunni regime since then. By the way, the 90 or so people killed this week in Syria were pro-Assad soldiers.

Everything in the Middle East has been love, democracy, and peace since the “west” started “helping them” by ending the Ottoman Empire, right. America started messing around when we went after the Barbary pirates, freebooters, not nations, and we STILL haven’t figured out what’s going on there, or kept our noses out of their business. The seal was on their fate even more so in 1923 when Mobil signed their deal with the Saudi princes to put them in power in Arabia, and we declared the whole region “ours”.

It wasn’t that long ago that our secretary of state was calling Syria was a “moderate” state. There hasn’t been one indication from DC that the Dems give a rat’s behind about what is happening over there.

With over 3,000 dead, mostly at the hands of Assad’s regime, I wonder why the USofA has kept a “hand’s off” position w/ the brutal dictator of Syria. Is there something going on behind the scenes that doesn’t appear obvious to the rest of the world about this nut running their country?

I’m NOT suggesting another American incursion into another Muslim country, but are there no other more effective ways for the UN to force this clown out of power and let them sort out their own internal affairs?

How many of you cons are going to volunteer for the invasion force? Yeah, that’s what I thought.
