Why is it that my parents are allowed to retire on a pension, but I’m supposed to die in poverty? What changed in the Republican mind that made pensions evil? That same year, GM was required to pay their union workers, on average $22/hr more in total compensation than their Toyota counterparts. That adds up to over $15 BILLION in extra costs created by the unions.
