Most teachers try to ease their students back into a working routine by starting the first day off with activities like the one Nate suggested. Mrs. Godfrey is apathetic and unsympathetic, treating students like machines that just need to be fed information and never need oiling.

On the first day of school? Shouldn’t the first day of school be like “Hey, so this is what this class is about, and this is some stuff we’ll be doing in it.”
