Embarrassing your children is the BEST part about being a parent. I LIVE to embarrass my girls – especially when they were middle school age. It’s sad now they’re grown and not as easy to embarrass. But they still like the attention – sort of.

I seem to remember in a past strip that when Mrs. Otterloop embarrassed Alice her reply was “Just wait, I’m only getting started”… So Alice, you were warned! And I love the choice of song with the dance.

My X used to embarrass the kids when we took them for fast food (singing “Hold the …, hold the lettuce, special orders don’t upset us”. I don’t remember now because I never do fast food since “Food Inc”. The kids were wanting to run out when he sang, especially as he could NOT carry a tune.
