I’ll say one thing: the animal is flexible!

The expression wad Dutch to me. I had to Goggle it. Now it makes sense.

But who is the “dog in the manger?” Is it Luddie, for preventing the birds from enjoying the seed, or is it Arlo for preventing Luddie from enjoying the birds by putting the bird-feeder so high?

We had a homemade bird feeder that was just flat and would hang out on this post about 5 feet high. The birds loved it. however, our fat black cat Moxie would climb up there and lay in it, expecting the birds to just land on her so she could catch them. It never worked. Then Moxie would come in covered in bird seed.

Actually, I kind of like “Goggle” . . . was it really a typo?

They need to put a bell on Ludwig’s collar so it would scare the birds away.

Let he who is entirely without typos (and spelling and grammatical errors) cast the first aspersion.

Or preferably, let no one.This isn’t school.

Ludy is being a cat in the manger… the original story is an Aesop fable. What ARE they teaching them in school these days??
