That’s just one reason we didn’t get one of these. The single service coffee packets are overpriced too.

Yeah, it’s all way overpriced! Maybe if enough people boycott the whole thing, prices will come down to a more reasonable level!

Only good for one person that only wants one cup a day.

You have to stand in line instead of happily slirping together. Too bad! Never ever wanna get one of these!

I drink 3 instants before I can get lid back. Don’t know if it has the health benefits of brewed.

Have one and love it. When we are both standing there waiting our bodies touch ! Can’t beat that.

Would not work for me. Can’t wait for each cup to be brewed, especially in the A.M. I need my caffine immediately,no waiting!

To my mind, the only kind of single-serve coffee maker that makes any sense in the home is the Swiss super automatic type that grinds the beans for each cup; the taste is so much better that the wait is worth it. It’s true that pre-ground coffee makes a better cup when the water is forced through it quickly (as with single-cup makers) rather than slowly (as with ordinary automatic drip makers), but not that much better…unless you’re using it in the office, where most of a multi-cup batch is likely to sit around long enough to get stale.

Got a stovetop percolator. Tastes way better than being done in plastic.

Love my K-cups! $.48 a cup. I still got $20 left on a $25 Starbucks card, so Green Mountain Coffee wins the round. Fresh brewed in 3 minutes, less for the 2nd cup.

I’ll drink about any coffee that doesn’t taste like Shinola or that other stuff some people can’t tell is different, but the best coffee comes from freshly ground beans that were roasted within the past month. Also for the best, hotter water than the average drip coffee maker but not so hot it over extracts, used with an unbleached filter. A commercial grade Bunn machine is the ideal.

Our strip is in black and white – first two scenes show a black coffee maker and second two scenes show a white coffee maker – couldn’t Arlo use one and Janis use the other one?

Grandpa always said that if you could not float a horseshoe in the coffee it wasn’t good coffee.

It would make sense if you drink several cups a day but at wide intervals. At 11:00 AM you might not want to drink from the pot you brewed at 7:00 AM, especially since keeping it warm for four hours wastes energy.

On the rare occasions when I brew my own coffee I’ll make enough for 3 cups, but I’ll drink all three in the space of about 2 hours and won’t make more.

Use Maxwell House and a good coffee maker. You can’t go wrong there.

My single cup coffee maker uses regular ground coffee, same as the big one. Makes good coffee once you figure out how much to put in. My coffee is more like Doctor Toon’s, but I have to weaken it for my husband, then add all than white stuff, yuk. Still better in a regular size pot. Mine broke. Got to get a new one. This one’s been good for emergency use, though.
