Hang on, kids! A conch is a wonderful object, not to be destroyed! —Even if it has a doll shoe stuck in it.

We would find petrified “Big Boy” sandwiches at the bottom of the toy box. (A sandwich my 3 year old made for himself when I wasn’t looking, consisting of 3 slices of bologna and 3 slices of cheese, and missing only 3 bites.)

Alice take that conch home and smash it to smithereens and get that doll shoe out.

It’s a take-home project! Take it to the manhole cover, get an audience and smash it open.

My brother once brought home a conch shell from Jamaica. Inside the shell lived a delightful family of tropical cockroaches. Thanks a lot, bro.

Maybe the doll is actually a lost little pixie inside trying to get out.
