Beautifully drawn, with much more detail than usual.
I have the feeling this is one of his newer or re-worked strips.
Hard to say cos his reprints don’t carry the original copyright dates.
Wish they did.

The key is to randomly give one’s wife flowers (not a whole bunch, but a well-placed blossom or two) at random times for no reason at all. One morning, my wife awoke to find her head surrounded bu lilac blossoms on her pillow. I also used to hide cards in her purse so she’d find them when she got to work.

Yeah, right! Give her roses and cards for no reason? She would then think that I had something to be sorry for. I would be sorry after I did that, all right!
