I like Sring, and I like Fall.Summer is too hot, and Winter is too cold. The point of the mater is, I’m getting too old..(not intended to be a poem)\\//_
Oh, summer is not entirely pleasant in a great many parts of the country, but for those of us who face mass quantities of snow and ice all winter (and have to drive in the stuff) then there is a bias toward the black ice free roads and longer daylight of summer. However, stuck inside because of heat or blizzards makes one wish for autumn or spring.
For here since we had such hot weather a lot of apple trees to gardens did not do so great. Spring should be the idea time with growth and winter over. Fall summer is over and foliage changes to bright colors. Alix enjoy your ending summer.
Here in Texas, I can swim until late November or when the pool water stays below 71 degrees. I have plenty of insulation to handle the chill until a couple of laps warm me up.
Pool is now too cold to swim after dusk (but always looks pretty). Summer outdoors is only good for swimming (and I avoid the sun). I agree that the longer we can make either Spring or Fall last- the better! But most of Winter is very pleasant here too.

Leave the pool outside, Alix. There’s always ice fishing.

I enjoy Autumn as long as it’s not soggy. Living in Seattle, fall means rain.
