if your actions in the ‘past’ cause a splitting of dimensions then you havent time travelled, you just jumped universes. michael crichton’s TIMELINE deals with that. in essence time travel is impossible

If my observation is correct Merlin started in an area burned to a cinder, and since dragons “breathe” fire, then they might sneeze fire.
I think the temporal string is a cosmic string, and a time loop where time lines fold back on themselves.
